1500 YEAR OLD BIBLE CONFIRMS THAT JESUS CHRIST WAS NOT CRUCIFIED – VATICAN IN SURPRISE

Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara.
Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”. The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place.
A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives. The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars). Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them?

Torres Signs Permanent Deal With AC Milan

Fernando Torres was bought for a then British record fee of £50m by Chelsea in 2010 after he dazed premier league and La Liga defenders with sublime runs and finishing with his time at Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. But he failed to excel in the colours of the Blues as he could only muster 45goals in 172 appearances – that led to his loan to AC Milan but after 10 games and registering just a goal the Rossoneri’s are keen to offload him.
However, AC Milan must first buy him on a permanent basis off his initial 18months loan from Chelsea before using him in the swap deal for Atletico Madrid’s Alessio Cerci who is reportedly unhappy with lack of playing time with the Spanish side.
Chelsea’s official website released a statement that reads: ‘Fernando Torres is to join AC Milan on a permanent basis. ‘The striker moves to the San Siro on a two-year loan deal in August and on January 5 he will complete a permanent transfer to the Serie A side.

‘Chelsea Football Club thanks Fernando for his service during the past four seasons and wishes him the very best for the future.’ Torres is expected to have his medical for his boyhood club, Atletico Madrid next week Monday while Cerci is expected to have his medical at AC Milan on New Year’s eve.

Akure Christmas Tragedy Update: Family Of Late Doctor Suspects Foulplay, Claims Assailants ‘Mutilated’ His Body Before Setting The Building On Fire

The Family members of doctor David Oguntuase, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Universal Medical Clinic in Akure, Ondo state capital have alleged a foul play in his death.
Late Oguntuase was found dead in his clinic at Oke Ibukun Street, off Araromi quarters in the capital city of the state on Thursday- Christmas day after a fire engulfed the building.
Nearby residents had told SaharaReporters that the fire began around 12:30 a.m. when Dr. Oguntuase was apparently asleep at his medical facility, a specialist clinic for children.
They also disclosed that the inferno caused the death of the late medical practitioner and head of Pediatrics at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owo.
But on Saturday, the deceased elder brother, Ben Oguntuase claimed that his younger brother was murdered in cold-blood.
Mr. Ben said, “We have visited the clinic and what we saw was a gory scene, neatly orchestrated by his assassins [arsonists]. I can authoritatively tell you that my brother was brutally attacked in that clinic, and they carried his body to the backyard room of the two bed-room flat, where they left him face down. The arsonists severed his hands and legs before settling his body and the whole building on fire with petrol.”

Cameroonian Soldiers Chase Nigerians Out Of Bakassi

The Cameroonian military has begun cracking down on Nigerians in the Bakassi peninsula suspected of evading taxes.
Cameroon gained total control of the peninsula in August 2013, but most inhabitants in the oil-rich area are Nigerians
“We don’t understand Cameroon’s tax laws,” a provisions store owner, Stanley Obi, told the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA), adding that he has seen an array of people seeking payments.
“At times, you see the council come to collect theirs. After, the tax officers will come, police will come; we are just confused with the whole system,” Obi said.
Obi also said a curfew was imposed on the peninsula last week following disputes between businessmen and groups of tax collectors.
Fresh fish retailer, Na Eric, said that ever since Cameroon gained sovereignty over the peninsula, Nigerians in Bakassi have frequently been harassed by Cameroonian soldiers.
“It is a means of killing our businesses,” he said.
The governor of the southwest region in which Bokassi is located, Bernard Okalia Bilai, confirmed that his administration had imposed a night curfew in the area, saying the decision is to halt people coming from Nigeria’s Cross River State following a meeting held at which peninsula residents complained that others were disrespecting maritime borders, attacking the locals and refusing to pay taxes.
“Nigerians must understand that Bakassi is now a Cameroonian territory and whoever lives there must submit to all national rules and regulations, including paying taxes,” the governor said.
Immediately after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling, tax collection in Bakassi was suspended, but as of mid-August 2013, residents had to start paying their share.
The governor accused Nigerians of disrespecting the ICJ ruling’s terms by refusing to pay taxes.
In 2002, the ICJ ruling had awarded control of the disputed Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon, and Nigeria eventually decided not to appeal the ruling, sparking protests from many Bakassi residents. And other Nigerians.
In 2008, the ICJ gave Nigeria five years to transition and cede control. As of August 2013, Nigerians – who constitute 90 percent of the peninsula’s population – had to obtain residence permits and be treated as foreign nationals.
Those who decided to become Cameroonians had to acquire national identity cards and respect Cameroon laws
The United Nations-backed Green Tree Agreement of 2006 set terms of the handover and one of the articles states that there shall be no indiscriminate collection of taxes within the Bakassi peninsula.

Boko Haram slaughters 30 in Cameroon village
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly killed over 30 Cameroonian villagers, a security official disclosed yesterday.
A regional governor, Mijiyawa Bakary, told the local by phone that the estimated 30 people killed were civilians.
“We do not yet have all the facts, but our divisional officers and security officials are filling us in,” Bakary said.
The attack took place at Mbaljuel village in northern Cameroon, just a few kilometres from Cameroon’s border with Nigeria, L’Oeil du Sahel newspaper said.
The insurgents also carried out a similar attack along the Waza-Mora highway on Friday, killing one Cameroonian soldier.
A soldier serving near the border who did not want to be named said the dead soldier was a corporal, adding that three soldiers also were wounded in the attack.
The attackers also confiscated a vehicle belonging to the Cameroon military.
Meanwhile, the Cameroon military says it killed 53 Boko Haram militants at Soueram about 17 kilometres from Fotokol, another border village in northern Cameroon.
The militants died when Cameroon’s air force battalion bombarded a Boko Haram camp at that location. The report could not be independently verified.
Soldiers also launched rockets across the border at the Boko Haram stronghold of Banki in Nigeria on Friday.
The violence comes about a week after the Cameroonian army destroyed an Islamic school believed to have served as a training ground for Boko Haram.
An army officer had disclosed that Boko Haram was recruiting children aged between 5 and 12 years and teaching them radical Islam at the school.

Cameroon has positioned soldiers and special military units to the far North this year to stop Boko Haram from infiltrating into Cameroon from Nigeria.

Chris Okotie Proves GEJ Is An Occultic Man

Controversial Pastor, cum politician, Chris Okotie says he is certain that the incumbent president of Nigeria is an occultic man and he can prove it.

Citing GEJ’s presidential declaration on the eleventh of November, 2014 in his piece titled “2015 and our crony democracy” which was posted on his facebook page hours ago, Okotie stated that the Presidential declaration on November 11 2014 at the Eagle squares has an occultic significance.

He says the number, 11, is a sacred number in the occultic world and that it demonstrates an
appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant.

“The implication of Dr. Jonathan’s declaration on that day (11-11-2014)has occultic significance. When the number is repeated, it takes a greater ritualistic intensity. In this case, we have 11-11-11, because when you add the date 11-11-2014 as a year together, you arrive at 11 also. This is in consonance with occultic numerology. In the pre-natural world, the number 11 is a powerful occultic number: it represents judgment, destruction and death of man. Each digit in the 11-11-2014 date, when added together, viz: 1+1+1+1+2+0+1+4, you get 11. That’s why the declaration was done on 11/11/2014, which is the highest level of occultic numerology. This sacred number in the occultic world demonstrates an appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant. The name of satan in Latin is LVX. L is 50, V is 5 and X is 10. When you add that together, you get 65. When you add 6 + 5, you get 11. Satan’s number is 11.

The question is; was this declaration orchestrated by occultic considerations, or is it a mere coincidence? Since 11 represents; judgment, destruction and death of man, can we extrapolate from the experiences of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration so far that number 11 has been prevalent in our nation? Has there been spiritual judgment, has there been destruction and death on a large scale? You, be the judge.”

President Jonathan does not belong to the Davidic genealogy; he belongs to the house of Saul and invokes the spirit of Jeroboam. He swears by the Lord and Malcham. He that hath an ear let him hear." he wrote.

PDP Will Win Gov Election In Lagos While APC Will Retain Rivers, Ogun and Oyo States – Primate Theophilus Olabayo Reveals Explosive 2015 Prophecies

Foremost Prophet, Primate Theophilus Oluwasaanu Olabayo, is the Pastor, Founder , Evangelical Church of Yahweh, located at Arowojobe Estate, Mende Village, Maryland, Lagos State. In this no-holds-barred interview with Nigerian Tribune in Lagos, he reveals his predictions for the New Year.

He predicts, among other things, that the 2015 presidential election may not hold and If the election holds at all, it may be stalemated. He also predicts that if elections hold, the Peoples Democratic Party will win the governorship election in Lagos State while the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain Rivers, Ogun and Oyo states. Primate Olabayo also called for prayers against political assassinations in the New Year.
Excerpts below:
As the New Year approaches, can you reveal what have been revealed to you particularly as the nation prepares for another general elections ?

You see, in this country, many people do not want to hear the truth. To start with, God has revealed to me that there may not be elections next year because in 2015, we are going to witness one of the worst political assassinations in Nigeria. God further informed me that the South West geo-political zone should be very careful so that the region would not be thrown into another era of wild, wild west because I saw political assassinations everywhere. I also saw some people in masks who were killing people everywhere.

Specifically, between now and January, the country will witness one of the worst eras of bloodshed in its history. And if at all there will be elections next year in Nigeria, the seat of the president is not vacant.
Can you tell us what you mean by saying that the seat of the president is not vacant?
God has revealed to me that if at all there is going to be presidential election, it will be inconclusive just like (the June 12,) that we had during the time of the late Chief MKO Abiola who flew the flag of the Social Democratic Party under the military administration of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

FG Replies Osinbajo With Bible Passages

Less than 48 hours after the Vice-Presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, Yemi Osinbajo, criticised President Goodluck Jonathan on his official Twitter handle, the presidency has responded to the criticism.
According to Osinbajo, who is an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, the incumbent President Jonathan is running a “visionless” government that causes Nigerians more pains than good.

In an attempt to respond to Osinbajo’s comments, the Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, on Thursday, December 25, 2014, took to his official Twitter handle and condemned the running mate of General Muhammadu Buhari for criticising President Jonathan out of a desire for personal gain.
According to Omokri, Osinbajo’s words of condemnation on Twitter does not befit an ordained pastor.
The Special Assistant to President Jonathan stated that instead of Osinbajo serving as an agent of transforming politics with the light of his moral compass, with his recent comments, he is conforming to the prevailing political culture such that one can not differentiate between a clergyman and a regular politician.

UK Deports Man After 8 Years Legal Battle

Last year more than 13,000 people were deported from the UK - but what happens if you can't even pronounce the name of the place they're sending you back to?

"More than anything I feel cheated out of my life. They've taken everything I had - my family, my friends, my dignity."

A loud noise interrupts Shadreck Mbiru mid-flow on the phone from his new home; it doesn't stop. I have to ask and it turns out it's a very noisy cockerel, not something Shadreck was used to having around at his previous home in London.

The 26-year-old hasn't yet adapted to life in Chitungwiza, a town in Zimbabwe around half an hour from Harare that the locals say he pronounces strangely. He left Britain on a plane from Heathrow escorted by UK border staff in November.

Shadreck has been deported back to the country in which he was born - a victory for the Home Office, which had been trying for eight years to secure his removal.

His life is not in danger in Zimbabwe - he concedes this.

The problem for Shadreck is that he arrived in the UK at 13, he went to school and college in London and all that passing of time means he's ended up as a Londoner in Africa - one that feels he doesn't belong.

"I'd established a life in London, my friends are British; I like what you like," he says.

"The system doesn't look at people, at individuals. Where are the principles and the morals? My family are there, that's what I don't understand."

The Home Office says it looks at each asylum claim on its individual merits.

When questioned about Shadreck's case, a spokesperson told the BBC: "When someone is found not to need our protection, we expect them to leave the country voluntarily. Where they do not we will seek to enforce their departure."

Shadreck was never granted leave to remain in the UK.

His sister was given indefinite leave and his mother discretionary - none of the family can tell me why they can stay and Shadreck can't, though they suspect being female and his sister having a child helped her case to remain in the UK.

Flight QZ8501 lost contact with air traffic control at 07:24 (23:24 GMT), Malaysia-based AirAsia tweeted.

Flight MH370 disappeared on a flight from Jakarta to Beijing in March with 239 passengers and crew, and MH17 was shot down over Ukraine in July, killing all 298 on board.
AirAsia says that search and rescue operations are under way for the missing aircraft.
There were six foreigners on board the flight, reports say, three from South Korea and one each from the UK Malaysia and Singapore. The rest of the passengers were Indonesian.
An official with the transport ministry, Hadi Mustofa, told local media the plane lost contact over the Java Sea, between the islands of Kalimantan and Java.
He said the plane had asked for an unusual route before it lost contact and that the weather had been cloudy.
AirAsia have given few other details.
"At the present time we unfortunately have no further information regarding the status of the passengers and crew members on board, but we will keep all parties informed as more information becomes available," a company statement said.

AirAsia has set up an emergency line for family or friends of those who may be on board. The number is +622 129 850 801.

28 Students On School Trip And 7 Return Pregnant!!

Seven Bosnian teenagers became pregnant on a five-day school trip, angering parents and educators, according to public health officials.

The teens, from small town Banja Luka, are 13 and 14 years old, said Nenad Babici, the national coordinator for reproductive health.

The school took a group of 28 girls on the trip to the capital, Sarajevo, to see museums and city sights, according to inserbia.info. A quarter of the students returned home pregnant.

Parents are demanding why there wasn’t better supervision on the trip, according to the Courier Mail. But Babici said parents need to teach their children about sex.

The case has brought national attention to the increasing number of teen pregnancies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sarajevo gynecologist Senad Mehmedbasic said the growing rate is worrisome because teens face higher risks in both pregnancy and child birth.

“We have to be more direct in the educational system,” he said. “It must not be allowed that the street teaches children about intimate matters, and that they are later slapped by life.”

SHOCKING NEWS!!! Strange Ocean Beast Caught On Camera In U.S

A strange creature was found by underground cameras in Brazillian Ocean. The mysterious object left them puzzled and several assumptions were made . The idea of a jellyfish seems to make sense , but you can see the organs and appendages creature and these parts do not make up the jellyfish .
Another hypothesis is that the placenta is a whale , but the hexagonal marks in the fabric are not common. Some even stated it could be a fishing net , but the creature appears to have movement itself.
If a jellyfish , may be of Stygiomedusa gigantea . This jellyfish can reach up to 6 meters long and has only been seen 114 times in 110 years. Therefore, scientists do not yet have a deeper knowledge about it , but ensure that the organs as well as appendages are not part of the animal.
Another suggestion is Deepstaria Enigmatic type of jellyfish not well known , but known to be the colorless type. A feature of this species is the brown stomach and descriptions say the stomach passages are abnormal edges , which appear to form a network. This would explain the marks on the creature, but again there is no explanation for the viscera .

Manchester City Level On Points With Chelsea, Beat Palace 3-0

Manchester City moved level on points with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League after goals from David Silva and Yaya Toure sunk Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.
City, playing without a striker, missed a host of chances during the first half but the Premier League champions’ dominance eventually paid off as Silva helped himself to two second-half goals before Toure rounded things off with 10 minutes to go.
James McArthur had a header wrongly ruled out for offside for the visitors midway through the second half but in truth Manuel Pellegrini’s side ran out comfortable winners as they searched for a fourth goal to send them top of the league on goal difference.
They did not find the goal they needed to top the table but the champions sent out a warning in the title race as they stretched their winning run to eight matches in all competitions.
Pellegrini started the afternoon fielding a team without a recognised striker after injuries ruled out regular trio Sergio Aguero, Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko. James Milner was used as an emergency striker with Silva and Samir Nasri providing support to the England international.
Palace made two changes, with Jason Puncheon and Fraizer Campbell coming in for Wilfried Zaha and the injured Marouane Chamakh, and it was the Eagles who made a positive start at the Etihad.
Neil Warnock’s side forced an early corner which Joe Hart, fresh from signing a new five-year deal, needed to punch clear in commanding fashion.

BREAKING: Nigerian Military Sentences 54 Soldiers To Death For Mutiny

The charge sheet said the soldiers conspired to commit mutiny against the authorities of the 7 Division on August 4, at the Mulai Primary School camp, opposite AIT Maiduguri, Borno State. The soldiers are the second batch of Nigerian soldiers condemned to death by Nigerian Military courts for mutiny.
A military court in Nigeria has sentenced 54 soldiers to death after they were found guilty of mutiny.
The soldiers were convicted Wednesday in Abuja on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny. Represented by Femi Falana (SAN), the brunt of the defense's case argued that the soldiers were not guilty of mutiny as accused.
"My Lords, contrary to the general belief in military circles, protest by soldiers does not constitute mutiny," Falana argued in his defense.
Imploring the court to uphold precedent as established in the case Cpl Segun Oladele & 22 Ors. v Nigerian Army supra, Falana said "Can we safely conclude that the prosecution has proved all the ingredients in this charge of mutiny against the accused soldiers?"
"The answer is in the negative," he said.

Why I Withdrew From Vice Presidential Race- Bola Tinubu

Statement Released by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his withdrawal from consideration for the APC Vice- Presidential Position.
i am a Nigerian who loves his country and am hopeful about what it can become. I have seen and conducted myself as a patriot long before I thought of myself as a politician.  I shall always walk this line and no other.
After all the political calculations are made and the dust of competition has settled, it must be this nation and its people who stand first and foremost. The question becomes whether we stand strong, able to shape ourselves into our best future or will we stand frail and trembling, burdened by the abject failure to surmount the multiple problems confronting us.

For Buhari’s Running Mate, The Last Becomes The First

The emergence of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as the running mate of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) adds twists to the presidential battle,
Just when the All Progressives Congress began to celebrate the successful completion of its presidential primary, another trial curiously came its way. This bordered on who would be the running mate of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, who is contesting in the upcoming presidential election for the third time since democracy returned in 1999.
Not many people believed that the search for Buhari’s running mate would be as intense as it turned out to be in the past few days. About a week earlier, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, which has had the benefit of starting the campaign for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term earlier – initially through the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria – had settled the question of who would sprint with Jonathan

The National Leader, All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has pledged to support the candidacy of APC presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osibajo.

Old People, Cause Of Nigeria’s Troubles – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday accused elderly Nigerians of troubling the country as a result of their utterances and behaviours.
The President said that it was the young Nigerians that had continually brought glory to the nation.
He particularly berated old politicians in the country, who he said caused trouble by quarrelling and abusing one another.
Jonathan spoke during the official inauguration of the Youth Employment in Agriculture Programme and the Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria which held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said, “For the Nigerian young men and women, those who we have seen today and the ones outside there, we appreciate and commend you because anything that you are involved, you bring glory to this country.
“Anything that the old people like us are involved in, it is always problems.
“Young people are involved in sports, soccer, athletics and so on, and within the period that I have been here as Vice President and President, they have always been bringing glory to us.
“Young people are involved in the movie, popularly called Nollywood, and this continues to bring glory to us.
“Young people are involved in music, like D-Banj, and they always continue to bring glory to us.
“But see politics that old people like us are involved in, we continue to quarrel and abuse ourselves everyday and create problems for innocent Nigerians.
“So, we believe that the future of this country is in the hands of young people. The young Nigerians will surely take us to where we want to be.
“One day, you will take us to the moon. I believe in the young, creative and talented people. Surely, we will create enabling environment for you because you stand for the future of this country and you will make this country great.”

Osinbajo May Emerge Buhari’s Running Mate

Barring any last minute change in plans, the All Progressives Congress may pick a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as the running mate of the APC presidential candidate, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.).
Competent sources in the party told our correspondents on Wednesday that Osinbajo, who served as justice commissioner during the tenure of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, would be named as the vice presidential candidate of the APC.
Osinbajo, a professor of Law and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, may be a candidate of Tinubu.
The choice of who emerges as Buhari’s running mate has generated intense debate and interest since the emergence of the former Head of State as the APC’s flag bearer last Friday.
Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi; his Lagos State counterpart, Babatunde Fashola; the immediate former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi ; Senator Chris Ngige and former National Chairman of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, had previously been tipped as likely candidate for the vice presidential slot.
But one of the governors in the South-West told one of our correspondents on Wednesday, “Osinbajo will likely be named as the vice presidential candidate today.”
The party told reporters on Wednesday at the APC’s headquarters in Abuja that the formal announcement of Buhari’s running mate would be made by 2pm today (Wednesday).

Woman Gives Birth To Baby Girl At Strip Club

A woman in labor who was on her way to a hospital, was forced to give birth in front of a strip club after her baby just didn't want to wait any longer, police in Tennessee said.

The Nashville Fire Department said that the taxi driver who was driving the woman in labor to the hospital, decided to pull into the parking of the strip club, fearing that they won’t make it to the medical center in time.

The incident unfolded about 8:00 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of Deja Vu, which is located at 1214 Demonbreun Street, just off Interstate 40.

When firefighters arrived, they found the 31-year-old woman with the baby girl in her lap. Both the mother and her baby were taken to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

A spokesperson for the hospital said that the mother and her baby were happy and healthy. The general manager of the strip club said that they will be giving the woman $500 and some other gifts.

Buhari To Announce Running Mate Today

After more than 48 hours of consultations, the All Progressives Congress appears to have reached a decision on the choice of the running mate for the party’s presidential candidate, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
However, the party’s leadership is keeping the identity of the preferred candidate under wraps.
But the party’s national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, while speaking to journalists at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, on Tuesday, hinted that Buhari would announce the party’s choice today (Wednesday).
He was responding to media inquiries about the delay in the choice of a running mate for Buhari.
Odigie-Oyegun, who stepped out of the NWC meeting to address members of the Jigawa State chapter of the party, denied the charge that the choice of the running mate was being delayed.
He said, “It’s not delayed, the candidate will speak to you people, I have a feeling he will speak to you tomorrow (today). The party has consulted with the candidate and we have reached some agreement and he will address you on it tomorrow.”
The NWC meeting which started at about 1pm ended at about 8.12pm.
Apart from Odigie-Oyegun, none of the party leaders who came out of the meeting agreed to speak with the media.
Those in contention for the top job are: Prof. Yemi Osibajo, Governors Rotimi Amaechi, Adams Oshiomole and Babatunde Fashola.
Others in the race are the immediate past Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; a former Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Olorunnimbe Mamora; a former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; and former Ekiti State Governor, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.
However, Osibajo appears to be the most favoured because of his religious background, the fact that he like Buhari has a clean record of public service and his closeness to the party leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.
The party is expected to submit the particulars of its candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, unfailingly on Thursday.
According to the election time table released by INEC, prospective candidates for the Presidency and National Assembly in the 2015 general elections must submit forms CF001 and CF002 at the INEC Headquarters in Abuja on or before that day.
This is in line with Section 31(c) of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) which provides for not later than 60 days before election
Prominent Yoruba leaders, who are non partisan, have urged the party to ensure that a credible personality picked the vice-presidential candidate ticket.
Some of the leaders, who included a retired soldier and a renowned academic, commended the party’s leadership for the transparent way the presidential candidate emerged.
A power bloc within the party is rooting for a South-West personality to emerge as the vice-presidential candidate.
The bloc contended that top positions such as the presidential ticket and the national chairmanship of the party had been conceded to the North and South-South regions of the country.
Specifically, the bloc explained that the Congress for Progressive Change – one of the three parties that merged to form the APC – produced Buhari, while the All Nigeria Peoples Party, a party in the merger, produced the national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
It said the vice-presidential ticket should be conceded to the Action Congress of Nigeria, which is the third party in the merger.
An APC governor said the choice of the vice-presidential “is more complex than as it is being seen because many interests are involved.”
The governor, who said “we are at a very critical stage of the process,” added that a credible candidate would emerge at the end of the rigorous exercise.
It was gathered that many of the leaders of the party, who had booked flights to Lagos, had to cancel their bookings when the vice-presidential candidate did not emerge as expected on Tuesday.
